How the Notion integration works
The Ranksector Notion integration lets you publish articles generated in Ranksector directly to your Notion workspace. Once connected, your content flows seamlessly with formatting, images, and SEO metadata preserved.
Setup instructions
- Find Ranksector in the integration page
Navigate to your Ranksector dashboard and go to Integrations. Select Notion to begin the setup process.
- Create a Notion integration
Go to notion.so/my-integrations and click New integration. Name it "Ranksector", select your workspace, and grant the required capabilities (Read content, Insert content). Copy the Internal Integration Token.

Go back to your Ranksector dashboard and paste the integration token shown in Notion. Ranksector will verify the connection automatically.
Make sure to copy the full token without extra spaces. The token authenticates the connection between your Notion workspace and Ranksector. - Verify the connection
After pasting the token, verify that the connection status shows "Connected" in your integration settings. Test by publishing an article from Ranksector.
What gets published
When you publish an article through Ranksector, the following data is sent to Notion:
- Article title
- Full HTML content with formatting preserved
- Featured image
- Meta title & description for SEO
- Tags and categories
- Publication status (draft or published)
Publishing options
Articles are published to Notion as soon as they are generated. Ideal for a fully automated content pipeline.
Use the calendar publishing feature in Ranksector to schedule articles for specific dates and times.
Send content to Notion as drafts, so your editorial team can review and publish through your existing workflow.
Troubleshooting
Connection not working
Ensure your Notion workspace is running a Notion workspace with admin access. Clear your browser cache and try reconnecting.
Token or connection issues
Regenerate the integration token from your Ranksector dashboard and paste it again, ensuring no extra whitespace.
Content not formatting correctly
Ensure your Notion workspace supports standard HTML rendering. Some themes may override default styles.
404 or routing errors
Check your permalink settings by navigating to Notion workspace settings → Connections and saving your configuration.
If you continue to experience issues, reach out to Ranksector support with your Notion workspace and browser version, and a description of the problem.
Security and best practices
- Keep your integration current. Always use the latest version of the Ranksector integration.
- Use HTTPS. Ensure your Notion workspace uses HTTPS for all connections.
- Protect your tokens. Never share integration tokens publicly. Regenerate them if compromised.
- Monitor published content. Regularly verify that articles are publishing correctly with proper formatting.
